About

Concordia Association of Research Employees

Concordia Association of Research Employees (CARE/AERC) has been accredited since 2011. Since then, we have been building our membership, working with our parent union, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), and negotiating with Concordia University.

In 2016, we had a major win when the Labour Board of Québec rendered the decision to merge our two bargaining units, the Research Assistants and Research Associates bargaining unit and the Research Technicians and Research Professionals bargaining unit.

Our first collective agreement came into effect on May 25, 2020, which provides the members of CARE a clear framework outlining our working conditions and rights for the first time.
